A Message to Visitors

Our Family Matters

Dear Family Member,

If you are related to Oluf Christian Larsen, (or if you are simply just visiting this site), I have a short message for you.

The most important thing in Oluf's life was his acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his life long commitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Something dramatically changed Oluf when he was baptized into the Mormon Church in Norway.  He left his homeland and all of his earthly belongings and turned westward towards Utah to join with others that had likewise accepted the doctrines of the LDS church.

I am confident that each of us knew our grandfather Oluf very well in our pre-earth life.  We each choose to be part of Oluf's family.  Oluf has a vested interest in your life.  In a real sense, your successes are his successes and likewise, your failures are his failures.

After living a long and very interesting life, Oluf laid down his earthly body.  He couldn't take money or fame with him, all he could take was his personal knowledge and his family relationships.  The same will be true for you and me.

If you are a member of the LDS church, let me encourage you to follow our grandfather's lifelong defense of Christ.  We must remain faithful and endure to the end as our grandparents have done before us.

If by chance you are not a member of the LDS church, or if you are less active, I invite you to consider Oluf and his life.  You may ask yourself this question:  Why have so many members of Oluf's family remained faithful members of the LDS Church and does this matter to me?  If you will contact me, I will try to answer this question.

We are all honored to have the great heritage we have inherited from our grandfather Oluf.  Families do matter and we are all part of the  Larsen family which is linked together forever.
